              5th Grade Parent Night for future CHMS families will be held               in the CHE auditorium on Feb. 18, 6:00-7:00 pm.  Please see attached   flyer for details.


Program Description: Parent University is designed to provide CUSD parents with critical information to help their students succeed in school. The goal of Parent University is to inspire and empower parents to take their parenting know‐how to the next level.


Upcoming Events:

1. Cyber Education and Social media: Cyber Educator, Jon Moffat, will present live on CHSTV with tips and tools for social media on Encryption, January 5, 2016 Minors and Privacy, March 22, April 12, and February 11, 2016. These interviews will become links and will be posted on all middle and high school websites as well as the CUSD website. Please look for this valuable information after these dates.

2. Changes to the ACT/SAT and Information on the College Application Process: In this presentation you will learn about changes to the SAT and ACT test, how to interpret results, and information on what colleges are looking for in applications.  Wednesday, February 10, 2016 Sage Creek High School

3. Parents Learning to be Better Parents: This is an eight-week program for Spanish-speaking parents covering the pertinent topics of:  1) Student success in school and life in general, 2) How to talk about sex, drugs, social media,  3) The dangers of drugs; prevention and education, and 4) Bullying, domestic violence, dangers of the internet.  Sponsored by the Mano-A-Mano Foundation, Dr. Beatriz Villarreal will facilitate this Academy and work with families in our community.  (Geared toward parents in Grades K-12).  Free childcare provided.

2016 High School Selection Window

Current 8th Grade District Students 

All District students entering 9th grade must declare which high school they wish to attend in the Fall of 2016 by submitting their high school selection online during the filing period beginning January 4, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. and ending on January 29, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.
