The goal of Critical Hours programs is to promote healthy choices and a positive lifestyle for participant youth through a variety of prevention services that include academic assistance, skill building, agency referral, and community service. All services are provided at no cost to participants and their families.

Daily activities include sports, arts and crafts, cooking classes, preventions, community services, and team building. The program is open every day that school is in session, from the last bell until 5:30pm. The program is open to youth ages 10-14, and 8-9 year olds that have an older sibling enrolled who shares the same address. It is located on campus in room 208. In order for your child to participate in the program, a registration packet must be completed and given to program staff the day that they decide to attend. We must have it when they attend the program, no exceptions. Students can find the registration packets with program staff in room 208, or in the Calavera Hills Middle School front office.
