Start with Hello week was designed as a national program by an organization called the Sandy Hook Promise. This organization is comprised of parents who lost their children in the Sandy Hook shooting and was created because they wanted to do their part in stopping that from happening to others. Their program brings awareness to social isolation and its effects on students and it gives schools resources to help other students learn how to reach out to those who might not feel accepted or part of the school community and to those who feel they have no friends.

Part of our activities will include spirit days as follows:

Monday 9/23:  Wear gold or purple for cancer awareness

Tuesday 9/24:  Interest Day: Wear something that represents your interest i.e., hobby, instrument, etc.

Wednesday 9/25: Twin Day: dress the same as a friend or group of friends

Thursday 9/26 : 6th Grade Blue - 7th Grade Pink - 8th Grade Red

Friday 9/27: Crazy Day - crazy hair, clothes, socks, shoes, etc.

For details on all the activities planned for the week, please see the attached flyer.
