Kids for Peace Club

kids for peace

In 2006, Kids for Peace started in the backyard of a loving Carlsbad home. Today, it is a global non-profit that inspires thousands of kids all over the world to put their compassion into action. We do this by living the words of the Peace Pledge:

I pledge to use my words to speak in a kind way.

I pledge to help others as I go throughout my day.

I pledge to care for the earth with my healing heart and hands.

I pledge to respect people in each and every land.

I pledge to join together as we unite the big and small.

I pledge do my part to create PEACE for one and all!

Our mission is to empower kids to create peace through:

  • community service
  • global friendships
  • and thoughtful acts of kindness

Kids all over the world – from tots to teens – meet regularly to help us carry out this mission.

WHEN: Every other Tuesday starting October 1, 2019

WHERE: Mr. Lyon’s room #206

WHY: To make the world a better place for all

HOW: Bring your big hearts and think about which line of the Peace Pledge speaks to you most and how you would put it into action.

In addition to our regular bi-weekly meeting, we host The Great Kindness Challenge – one week dedicated to cultivating a culture of kindness on our campus. This year, The Great Kindness Challenge will be January 27th – January 31st. Every student will have access to a checklist of 50 kind acts. The challenge? Do as many kind acts as possible in one week! At CHMS, Kids for Peace will work with other clubs to give students opportunities to complete these kind acts at school.
