How to Find Books to Read During School Closures

Having trouble finding something new to read while libraries and bookstores are mostly closed?

Luckily there are still several great ways to get connected to something new to read.  Please see the resources below to find out how to find an ebook or order a book through a local bookstore.

Where to Find FREE eBooks

Please see the list below for places to find a great eBook for FREE.

Just be aware that some sites may require you to download an app first. If this is the case, you will need to use your own personal device (smart phone, tablet, or computer) because you are NOT allowed to download apps to your school Chromebook.

Where to BUY eBooks

Below is a list of where you can find some free, discounted, or regularly priced eBooks for sale.

Local Public Libraries

Our wonderful local libraries are open for curbside pick up of books and all of them are offering 24/7 online access to their digital collections.

No card, no problem!  Right now some of the public library systems in our area are offering digital library cards that only require filling out a quick online form (with your parent’s permission).  After filling out the form you can then access thousands of online resources including countless eBooks!

*Because you are under 18 years old, you will need permission from your parent or guardian to get registered*

If you already have a library card, all you need to do is download the required app and enter your library card number when prompted.
