Registration for Returning Students 2018/19 School Year

2018-2019 Calavera Hills Middle School Registration Information

Please notify Calavera Hills Middle School if your address has changed and/or you are not planning to attend CHM School Year 2018/19 - Holly Grupe 760-331-6462 or

Our office will be closed for Summer Break June 28th and will re-open August 15th 

You can complete your registration forms and update your student’s information on Parent Portal after August 1, 2018

You will be getting: School ID, Books, Class Schedule, etc. You’ll also have opportunity to purchase the following:

Registration Dates:
(student should be present)

6th Grade: Monday, August, 20th   7:30-11:30 am*

7th Grade: Wednesday, August 22nd   7:30-11:30 am*

8th Grade: Tuesday, August 21st    7:30-11:30 am*

PM Make-Up Registration (All Grades):

Wednesday, August 22nd   4:00-7:00 pm

7:30 – 8:00: A-D               9:30 – 10:00: N-P

8:00 – 8:30: E-G                10:00 – 10:30: Q-S

8:30 – 9:00: H-K               10:30 – 11:00: T-V

Please mark your calendar with your registration date and time. Note that if you are not able to register during the above dates, please bring all necessary documents on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 29th, to register your child.

Registration Process:

  1. Begin at the front office to provide the appropriate documents (see Aeries Parent Portal on the CHMS Website for registration documents)
  2. You will then proceed to the gym for the following:
  • Take school pictures and get student ID card
  • Opportunity to purchase:
    • PE clothes (cash, Webstore): shirts-$15, shorts-$10.
    • ASB (cash, credit, or Webstore):
      • Sticker only (includes all socials): $15
      • Yearbook only: $35
      • ASB sticker and Yearbook package: $45
      • 6th Grade Camp $340
    • PTSA Spirit Wear (cash, credit, or checks)
      • Shirts: $15, Hoodies: $25, Trucker Hats: $15, Beanies: $15
    • PTSA Membership (cash, credit, or checks)
      • Diamond: $250, Platinum: $150, Gold: $100, Silver: $50, Bronze: $25, Student: $15
  1. You will proceed to the Library to receive Textbooks and your Chromebook/Charger.

 Other important information:

  • The first day of school is Wednesday, August 29th, 2018
  • Sixth grade and new student WEB Orientation is Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 8:00-12:00 (Students Only)
  • You can complete the forms necessary for registration and update your child’s information on the Aeries Parent Portal (found on the CHMS homepage) after August 1, 2018.

What is WEB?

An EXCITING Orientation Program for Sixth Grade Students

and NEW incoming 7th and 8th Grade Students

When is WEB Orientation?

Tuesday, August 28th  from 8:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m.

Where is WEB Orientation?

At Calavera Hills Middle School, Meet in the Gym


What will we do at WEB Orientation?

  • Activity-based assembly

  • Small group activities

  • Get to know 8th grade WEB Leaders

  • Get to know other 6th graders

  • Fun, themed campus tour

The purpose of this half-day retreat is to make the transition from elementary school to middle school a positive one. Eighth graders will be serving as leaders and mentors to the sixth graders. Large and small group activities are designed to address students’ needs and concerns in an enjoyable manner. Students, please wear comfortable clothes that allow for easy sitting, standing and movement. Be sure to bring a light snack but there is no need to bring a backpack or any of your stuff…travel lightly. If you have any questions, please call the WEB Coordinator,  Mrs. Seluga at (760) 331-6432.
